Commissioning

Commission a Memorial With A Trusted, Compassionate Team In Hereford

Initial meeting

Initial meeting

Often a visit to  my workshop is a great place to start. Over a cup of tea or coffee we can discuss your vision for the commission and look through stone samples, examples of commissioned pieces in progress and other reference material.
If you are unable to arrange a visit for whatever reason, we can work remotely through phone and email.
Drawings

 Drawings

Drawing is a key part of any commission, and often designs go back and forth with small amendments being made each time, ensuring that every detail meets your specifications exactly. After initial discussion I will put pencil to paper and draw a 'rough' design which you will receive with a quote. All further drawing and design work  will commence once the deposit has been received.
Ordering stone

Ordering stone

Once the design is approved, the stone is ordered from the quarry.
Carving and completion

Carving and completion

Once the stone arrives the design is drawn onto the stone and the carving process begins. You are welcome to visit our workshop to view work in progress.

Headstone & Memorial Installation

Once the carving is complete we complete all memorial and headstone installations ourselves.
